Celebrating the return home from Iraq of Spc. Robert Baker USA, 8-14-08
Spc. Baker was awarded the Bronze Star for action in Afghanistan.

We appreciate the kind note, and additional photograph of Spc. Baker and his family,
provided by his
mother-in-law, reprinted below:
"My son in law Robert Baker spent 15 months in Afghanistan serving in the US Army. When he came home he was greeted with the most grand homecoming that I have ever seen. He was welcomed home by the Patriot Guard Riders, The Lafayette Flag Brigade, Operation Sam, The Blue Star Moms and many others. Robert and the family were absolutely blown away by the support that was given to him by people that had never meet him. He was thanked for his service, hugged by all and welcomed home by the most wonderful people in the world. The men and women that serve to protect the rest of us deserve to be made to feel like what they do is important, and that they are not forgotten. Robert definitely felt remembered and appreciated. Thank you to all of those that were a part of this amazing homecoming that will not be forgotten."
